“The two years I spent on the Youth Mission Team, 1989 and 90, were remarkable years. Having been brought to the Lord through the witness of the first YMT in 1986, I knew of the power behind this mission. Since that time my life has been enriched and blessed amazingly with good things. 1989, my first year on team was fantastic, the greatest joy was to share what l had learnt about Jesus with others and so many people soaked it up, like a parched land would soak up water. It was a time of rapid personal growth, and the lifestyle of the team — living in common, prayer, Eucharist and sharing brotherhood and sisterhood —really opened my eyes and my heart to God’s beautiful plan for each person.”
